How To Plan A Great Luncheon

Not every social gathering has to be an evening affair. One of the most enjoyable ways to gather socially is by hosting a lovely luncheon for your friends and family members. If you want to host a luncheon that all attendees will be raving about for years to come, then follow these tips on how to plan the perfect event.

Choose The Right Menu

When it comes to planning a great luncheon, the most important aspect is definitely the food. Decide whether you want to cook yourself or hire a company to cater your affair. You can also hold your luncheon as a potluck, where each guest brings a dish to share. How you choose to provide food will depend on your budget and the tone you want for your event. For more casual events, serving food potluck-style is fine, but for more upscale affairs, you’d be wise to work with a caterer.

Location, Location

If you’re going to have a relatively small guest list, then it’s fine to hold your luncheon in your home. However, if you are going to have a large guest list or want your luncheon to have a fancier vibe, then consider looking for a space to rent to hold your event. One perk of renting a space is that you don’t have to spend days cleaning up in anticipation of your event.

Entertainment

Not all luncheons require entertainment, but it can be a great way to keep your luncheon enjoyable. You could hire a band to play music throughout the lunch, which allows your guests to enjoy some entertainment while still being able to converse with one another. Or, you could hire a speaker to give an interesting and inspirational talk during your luncheon. There are plenty of speakers who are great choices for a luncheon, such as Vickie Hoefer speaker.

Send Out Your Invitations

Once you’ve planned all the details of your luncheon, it’s time to send out your invitations. Ideally, you should send out your invitations at least three months before the day of your event. This gives people time to clear their schedules and ensure that they’ll be able to attend. You can have your invitations professionally printed or you can make them yourself with some cute tools from the craft store.

If you follow these tips, you can plan a great luncheon that will wow your guests.
